Red Jamie Fox by Mary Jardin Wimberley This pattern is Red Jamie Fox. He is a standing Red Fox cub made with mohair and alpaca. I show two versions of this fox to let you see how he works up in different lengths of fur. This 9-page pattern for Red Jamie is an original pattern for a 12” (13” with ears) fox cub with 6 joints and wired armature. The pattern pages are designed to fit horizontally on 8.5” x 11” paper. Once printed, pages can be folded in half to fit into a zip lock bag for storage. You will only download one page- a long PDF file. There are three full pages of clearly marked pattern pieces with detailed instructions for cutting, trimming, marking and sewing the fox. The pattern pieces include dots for cotter pin or bolt insertion, openings for turning, seam allowance, nap arrows, notches for matching eye placement and more. This pattern also is easy to resize because I include the stitch line and also outlines of the discs so as you shrink or enlarge the pattern you can see where to stitch and what size discs to use. When shrinking or enlarging though, please remember to adjust the seam allowance as it will also sharing or enlarge- use stitch line as general guide. Additionally there are three more pages of instructions for cutting, sewing, stuffing and detailing your own fox. You will also find techniques for creating eyelids, whiskers, eye insertion using a false head back, needle sculpting, and hand coloring, etc. The pattern includes a complete list of materials and a montage of photos for reference.
